There are six kinds of automobile differential, namely: gear type, anti-skid type, double worm type, central type, LSD type and Thomson type differential. Automobile differential is a mechanism that can make the left and right or upper and lower driving wheels rotate at different speeds. It is composed of left and right half axle gears, planetary gears and gear carrier. The function of automobile differential is to make the left and right wheels roll at different speeds when the automobile turns or runs on uneven roads, so as to ensure the rolling movement of the driving wheels on both sides. It is a device for adjusting the speed difference between the left and right wheels. Automobile differential is divided into gear differential and anti-skid differential according to its working characteristics.
