1. See if the engine can start normally
Check whether the cold car starts smoothly, whether there is a particularly obvious “sense of frustration” and whether it can ignite normally.
2. Look at the engine jitter
Keep the car idling. If the engine can run smoothly, it means that the spark plug can work normally; If it is found that the engine vibrates intermittently or continuously and makes an abnormal “popping” sound, it indicates that there may be a problem with a spark plug. At this time, the spark plug needs to be replaced.
Check the electrode gap of the spark plug: when removing the spark plug, you will find that there is a discharge electrode in the spark plug, and the electrode is normally consumed. If the gap is too much, it will lead to an abnormal discharge process (the normal spark plug gap is 1.0-1.2mm), which will lead to fatigue of your engine. At this point, it needs to be replaced.
If there are deposits between the top and the electrode, and the deposits are oily, it is proved that the oil channeling of the cylinder has nothing to do with the spark plug; If the deposit is black, it indicates that the spark plug has carbon deposition and bypass; If the deposit is gray, it is due to misfire caused by additives in gasoline covering the electrode.
