In general, you can’t avoid using reflectors when using a car, especially when reversing into the warehouse every day. However, we all know that even if the car has a reflector, there will still be a blind area, which will be a great risk and a potential safety hazard when driving. You can’t see anything in the blind area. You don’t know what you will encounter when turning, so the position of the reflector is very important. Today, we will tell you how to adjust the car reflector.
The left reflector just doesn’t see the edge of your car. The upper and lower position is in the middle of the horizon. When you see the side of the rear door, the body occupies 1 / 3 and the road occupies 2 / 3. The upper and lower positions of the left rear-view mirror are to place the distant horizon in the center, and the left and right positions are adjusted to 1 / 4 of the mirror range occupied by the vehicle body. Tilt your head to the driver’s side glass (top on the glass) and adjust the left rear-view mirror until you can just see your body. The horizon is at the horizontal centerline. These are OK.
For the right mirror, the first two methods are actually the same as those on the left. The third is for the right mirror. Because the driver’s seat is on the left, it is not so easy for the driver to master the right side of the body. In addition, sometimes it is necessary to park on the roadside. For the right mirror, when adjusting the up and down positions, the ground area should be large, accounting for about 2 / 3 of the mirror. The left and right positions can also be adjusted to 1 / 4 of the body area.
Interior rearview mirror: for the interior rearview mirror, adjust the left and right positions to the left edge of the mirror, just cut to the right ear of your image in the mirror. This means that under normal driving conditions, you can’t see yourself from the interior rearview mirror, while the upper and lower positions are to place the distant horizon in the center of the mirror.
There is another recommended method:
You can try the adjustment of the left rear-view mirror: tilt your head to the driver’s side glass or top it on the glass, and then adjust the left rear-view mirror of the car until the owner can just see his body.
Adjustment of right rear-view mirror: tilt your head to the rear-view mirror in the car, and then adjust the right rear-view mirror of the car until the owner can just see his body.
The reflectance of the reflector is different during the day and at night. The reflectance is related to the reflective film material on the inner surface of the reflector. The greater the reflectance, the clearer the image reflected by the mirror. The reflective film of automobile rearview mirror is generally made of silver and aluminum, and their minimum reflectivity is generally 80%. High reflectivity can have side effects on some occasions. Silver or aluminum inner reflection film with reflectivity of 80% is used during the day, and surface glass with reflectivity of only about 4% is used at night. Therefore, the interior rearview mirror in the daytime position should be properly rotated at night to meet the driving requirements. For reflectors that are not full field of view, a wide-angle mirror with large field of view can be installed at the corner of the reflector.
