Body accessory safety belt is a safety device for restraining passengers in collision and avoiding secondary collision between passengers and steering wheel and instrument panel or rushing out of the vehicle in collision, resulting in death and injury. Automobile safety belt, also known as seat belt, is a kind of occupant restraint device. Automobile safety belt is recognized as the cheapest and most effective safety device. Main structural composition of body accessory safety belt
(1) Webbing webbing is a belt with a width of about 50mm and a thickness of about 1.2mm woven from synthetic fibers such as nylon or polyester. According to different purposes, it can achieve the required strength, elongation and other characteristics of the safety belt through weaving methods and heat treatment. It is divided into ELR (emergency locking retractor) and ALR (automatic locking retractor).
(3) Fixing mechanism the fixing mechanism comprises a buckle, a lock tongue, a fixing pin, a fixing seat, etc. Buckle and latch are devices for fastening and unfastening seat belt. Fixing one end of the webbing on the body is called the fixing plate, the fixing end of the body is called the fixing seat, and the fixing bolt is called the fixing bolt. The function of retractor is to store the webbing and lock the webbing pulling out. It is the most complex mechanical part in the safety belt. There is a ratchet mechanism inside the retractor. Under normal circumstances, passengers can pull the webbing freely and evenly on the seat. However, once the continuous pulling process of the webbing from the retractor stops or when the vehicle encounters an emergency, the ratchet mechanism will make a locking action to automatically lock the webbing and prevent the webbing from pulling out.
